Didn't get 'er done

Victor, the plaster repair genius who has overtaken our house, informed us yesterday that the walls and ceiling will not be ready for a party this weekend. Which left us with the unfortunate decision to (A) host a party in a room full of plaster dust, plastic sheeting and scaffolding or (B) reschedule. After some heated discussion, we chose Plan B.

Which feels strangely liberating (ah, the relief of a pushed-back deadline!) and slightly horrifying (what would Emily Post say!?!?). In any case, the invitation has been re-sent and the decision is made. So we now have the opportunity to breathe, put things back together more carefully, and finish one of our extra credit projects. Or not. I guess we'll see.

The promised bathroom reveal is also delayed. We ran into some unforeseen difficulties with re-hanging the towel rack (idiot Mom) and hanging some of the lights (idiot electrician).
