With nothing more than two lone bottom teeth, the boys have decided it's time for some bicuspids. I don't know how evolution figured this one out, but those must be some pretty important teeth to come in before the canines and to come in at such a young age. In general, the boys are handling these giant teeth like champs, but I do find them chewing on their hands, clothing, and stuffed animals much more than usual. One of their favorite things? Chewing on wet washcloths after we clean up from a meal. Kind of gross, and more than a little risky for our rugs after a pasta meal. So I often find myself handing them clean, wet cloths to chew on. They love it. It cracks me up, but they'll carry those all over the house, mopping my floors (ew!) and chewing almost constantly.
Poor little gums! I can only imagine how miserable real molars are going to make them!

I do like your off-spring. They are rather adorable.
ReplyDeleteTeddy's lower bi-cuspids took forever to come in. One was big and swollen for 6 weeks, the other took about 3. Fun times! Chew away little boys. And clean the floor.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what a bicuspid is, but I'm sure Ruth can sympathize. Poor little boys.
